OUR COLLECTION
The collection of Hidden History offers a unique look at American history. Our collection includes artifacts from over 2,000 years ago and contains rare manuscripts, books, letters, and more. The collection catalog is available to all online, and the Hidden History archival team can provide additional aid upon request. Currently, all archival material will be received through online scans and photographs. Research fees and scanning fees may apply. We hope to eventually be able to offer in-person research in the future.
Hidden History primarily contains manuscripts, including the letters, diaries, and other personal papers of individuals, corporations, organizations, and families. Hidden History's collection holds many valuable resources for researchers, with many of the records only being easily accessed through Hidden History. In addition to manuscripts, Hidden History's collection includes books, pamphlets, newspapers, and photographs. Our collection also holds works of art and historical artifacts that can support research and provide teaching aids.

You may also give us a call at 850-503-8736 to discuss any potential donation.
Our collections team carefully considers all potential donations and determines whether the items will fit into our collections. Because of storage space and other considerations, we have to carefully consider all potential donations. Books, papers, journals, photographs, and ephemera are more likely to be accepted into our archive; although we do actively collect other artifacts, including portraits, pottery, and other large artifacts. Currently, any object accepted into our collection will be cataloged and offered for view digitally. In general, donations to our collections must be free of donor-imposed restrictions.
